So I just packaged up envelope #32 for the mail art project. Which means we’ve recruited just over a 1/3 of the artists that we need. So, if you haven’t already joined in and want to, let me know. Or if you know of any awesome artists I should recruit, I would love some leads!
Thanks kids!
Hey Gang!
I’ve decided to do a mail art project. Here’s the scoop.
I have 89 pages that have been removed from an old photography book (so there are no copyright issues). Pages are printed on both sides and contain (in total) from one to five photos.
What I want from you: a piece of art (capable of being mailed back to me) inspired by one or more of the photos on your page. You can do whatever your creative heart desires.
To join in comment below or shoot me an e-mail at deeplysuperficialpeople at gmail dot com. And we’ll arrange either the pick up or the mailing of the pages to you. I’d like as many artists to participate as I can get, so please pass this along to anyone you think might want to participate.
The goal is to have the project complete sometime after the first of the new year, so let’s get cracking!
